Useful CCTV is not about installing the largest possible number of cameras. We plan positions around what needs to be seen, changing light conditions and where recordings will be reviewed.
Image quality, recording and remote viewing are matched to the site requirements. Video analytics or number plate recognition can be considered when they have a defined purpose and appropriate management.
Camera coverage, access to footage and retention responsibilities should be agreed before commissioning. Where cameras may capture neighbouring property, public areas or communal spaces, refer to current ICO guidance and involve the relevant advisers.
Access Control That Fits Daily Life
A front gate, family entrance, staff door and restricted area do not necessarily need the same method of entry. We select readers, credentials and permissions around the people using each access point.
Video intercom can help an authorised person see and speak to a visitor before deciding whether to grant access. Time-based or role-based permissions can be introduced where they make day-to-day management clearer.
